Welcome--we are glad you have decided to stop by and visit with us!  We are members of Tau Chapter, a local chapter of Kappa Kappa Iota, one of the oldest national teacher's association in the United States.  The organization was orginally created for social outlets and evolved over time to serve both social purposes as well as professional ones.  Kappas today compose a diverse membership of retired educators, active educators, and pre-service teachers.  

 

Tau Chapter is in Lambda State (Georgia), and was founded during the school year of 1972-1973.  Currently, members hail from across northwest Georgia, and we are always eager to welcome newcomers!  We are proud of the fact that both the National President and the State President are members of our chapter. 

 

Tau Chapter characterizes itself as a service organizization participating in local community outreach programs and donating time and financial assistance to specific needs when able.  Feel free to explore our site and to contact us with any questions.
